Welcome! Congratulations on making the first step towards a better you. I realize that asking for help may be difficult and it is important to me to make this process as smooth as possible for you. Therapy is a collaborative process; I believe that everyone has the innate capacity for personal growth, and supporting you in facing what is difficult in your life and within yourself right now is what I do. I help individuals foster a healthier understanding of themselves and their emotional world. It is my job to assist in creating a place of peace, love and acceptance.

Communication problems, sex, anger, even illness can contribute to problems in a marriage or relationship. To manage conflicts and stress, couples sometimes turn to marriage counseling or couples counseling to help heal the relationship. Marriage counseling, also called couples therapy or relationship counseling, helps couples, married or not, understand and resolve conflicts and improve their relationship. Marriage counseling gives couples the tools to communicate better, negotiate differences, problem solve and even argue in a healthier way. When couples enroll in marriage counseling, they are able to share their thoughts and express themselves in a safe, controlled environment. This allows both people to communicate more effectively, and the counselor can also give advice on how to heal and become stronger in the relationship with understanding and awareness of the other person’s attitude and feelings toward these challenging situations.

I have experience working with children and adolescent and I feel my inner child comes out when I am with them. Also, I have background in working with individuals with special needs and a variety of disabilities. In addition, I have training in play therapy and help children learn social skills as well as help them deal with emotional problems. With children, their world is far different than ours. What we think is nothing may mean the world to them and it is important to me to help them learn to express their feelings while understanding them as well.

"A failure is not always a mistake, it may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying."
